      Incredible glasses for the price

I bought these binoculars because I needed something light for longer hikes and I was tired of carrying my heavy Vortex 10 x 42s. I am impressed with how light they are--lighter than my wife's Swarovski SLC 8 x 30s--and the sharp images they give for the price. The optics are impressively bright and sharp to the edges and I find the eye relief very comfortable for the fact I wear glasses. They almost measure up to the Swarovskis in optical quality and are certainly just as bright to my eye. The strap and lens caps also seem to work quite well. All around a bargain for the price.

    • Great glass, compact

Excellent glass, compact size, good field of view, lightweight. I am using these as a Eastern woods hunting binocular. Don't even notice them hanging around my neck. Compact size is perfect for one handed use.

    • Good FOV and lightweight for good value

Love the lightweight Monarch 7 series. Already had the 10x30. Purchased the 8x30 for wider field of view since I depend less on bird field marks now that I'm a better (still learning) birder. Have used them several times since receipt, just as expected. I'll still use my 10x for some excursions, but the 8x are great for the closer "in the trees/brush" bird locations.

    • Nikon Monarch 7 8x30

These binos are everything I expected, and the technical specifications exceed every other brand that I researched. They are super bright even in low light, which was an initial concern of mine compared to the 8x42. They are lightweight and have a nice feel, and I am very pleased thus far. I’m not crazy about the clunky plastic eye piece cover, but that’s typical of most.

    • Monarch 7 8x30

These are ridiculously good optics for what they’re selling for these days. Seriously, I paid $313 for a brand new unit and it far surpasses anything I’ve ever seen in that price range. I’d even say it’s a little better than a pair of Leupolds that I bought for $500 10 years ago. (Which are still pretty nice too). Very compact and light, but “feels” sturdy. Bright, super crisp viewing and the field of view is everything they say it is... you kind of have to see it to believe it. Head to head against a pair of Leupolds and Cabelas and, well, there is no comparison. Not sure how Nikon makes the field of view this wide. Perfect nocs for the woods. So glad I didn’t buy another brand.
