Pump will work for a while, but with the 220 volts and the amps flowing thru the 20 gauge wire mostly likely fail sooner than later. Gauge was listed, but pictures are misleading and should picture actual plug. Why would the manufacturer use 20 gauge wire is beyond common sense and just cheap greed.
