This item is a gasket that cannot be bent and was shipped between two pieces of used cardboard that was slightly bent during shipping. I was able to get the bend out of the gasket and it will seal properly. Seller needs to ship items properly, I was very close not to accept the item and return it to the sender.

    82 Yamaha XJ 750 Starter Rebuild

    I knew I needed to rebuild the starter as I opened it up and found all the original components! No complaining when it went 34 years before needing some attention. It is a good idea to pay careful attention to all the positions of the various spacers, washers, nuts and especially bolt. I disassembled, cleaned and reassembled in record time, pushed the starter button and was rewarded with the whine of the starter motor. I had reversed the brushes! LOL After about 15 more minutes I was up and running. The kit provides o-ring replacement, shaft bearings as well as brushes, plate and most everything you need to do a general rebuild. This kit will not help rebuild the shaft or gears, at that point I would look for a good used replacement myself. I would highly reccomend this kit for any bike ...

    Looks close to the original. Mirror mount is at a different angle And the hydraulic brake line mounts at a different spot, but it works. definitely need to change both clutch and break as the Mirror mount Angles out more than the originals do on a Honda V30 & V65 Magna. Don't know about the V40 or V45 as I don't own One of them to compare.
