    The best, easiest and fastest way to change your forend

    I have looked on youtube at videos on how to change out the forend on my mossberg 500. They involve taking the gun apart and some time to do so. All of that is not necessary with this tool. Simply remove the barrel and then use the tool to un screw the front forend nut. Remove the old forend and replace with the new one. I replaced my stock wooded forend with a rubber Houge one. I needed to buy the extended Houge forend nut since I had the shorted slide tube on my gun. You can switch out forends in two min. with this tool. No need to dissemble the gun.

    Some like it sloppy

    Pros: Well made, reasonably priced, works Cons: Floppy handles can damage forend wood on fancy trap grades, unstable turning as each side is independent. OK... I'll be clear, for the money I surely can put up with floppy handles. I do plan to either epoxy in solid, weld/braze in solid or perhaps knock out handle pins (if possible) and replace with bolt and wingnut so I can tighten. I also thought about removing handles and make a 1/4" drive hanger to drop into slots and tighten/loosen with a nut driver or socket. Still cheaper than machining one myself.

    Floppy handles are not worthy of a complaint. Great product!

    You guys complaining about “floppy” handles are just being unreasonable. This castle nut wrench works perfect. Yes the handles are floppy and could potentially scratch the finer wood stocks, but just pay attention. There’s not reason to rush the job. On top of that, just flip the handles backwards once the castle is broken free and spin it out that way. You could also put soft tape on the handles or use a rubber band to keep the handles together. Quit your whining and buy the tool!

    A must have for shotgun owners

    This tool is a must have for shotgun owners, home gun tinkerers or gunsmiths. Works perfectly, is made well and the job can be done quickly. Removes forend castle nut with ease. The flexible handles are great. My only suggestion on the product would be a nut on each handle to lock them in place when using.

    Works Well For Mossbergs

    Heavy Duty-Works Well with my Mossberg but pretty sure it will work with other shotgun forearms. I bought this to change out the plastic forearm to a wood on my Mossberg Shockwave. and it did the job. The only minor drawback is the handle arms do not lock into place but flop around but it is no big deal and still worth the price. The tool is metal and not plastic.
