Praise for The Nocturnals Grow & Read Early Readers "This banter-filled early reader describes the initial meeting between shy Tobin the pangolin, brash Bismark the sugar glider, and kindhearted Dawn the fox...the pared-down narration and dialogue quickly establish their personalities...Hecht successfully set the stage for more adventurous outings down the road."--Publishers Weekly "Vivid illustrations pop off crisp white pages. Brief sentences in an oversize font, separated by plenty of white space, won't overwhelm nascent readers. This successful endeavor manages to maintain the spirit of the original series while showing respect for new devotees."--Booklist "Beginning readers will enjoy this tale and will cheer on the threesome who defeat a bully by using their words."--School Library Journal "Especially and unreservedly recommended for family, elementary school, and community library collections."--Midwest Book Review "The series addresses bullying and empathy in an easy, accessible way, and the books are meant to be read aloud."--New York Post "Young readers will enjoy this spectacular story that is perfect for reading aloud in the classroom, library, or at home. Synopsis
The Nocturnals early reader series features three unlikely animal friends--Dawn, a serious fox, Tobin, a sweet pangolin and Bismark, a wacky sugar glider. In The Weeping Wombat, a fun Level 3 early reader for children ages 6-8, the animals share their feelings to comfort Walter the wombat., The Brigade hears Walter the wombat whimpering in the willow. Walter tells the Brigade that the other wombats make fun of him. They say he is a wimp because he weeps. "Say what?" Bismark exclaims. "Weeping doesn't mean you're a wimp " Dawn and Tobin agree. But Seller communication was GOOD and the item showed up, well packaged, within the delivery window. Item was well priced, and they had a series that I STRUGGLED to find elsewhere, in NEW condition. I would recommend this seller if you can't find it elsewhere, that's the best I can give them.Chillin' in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers (Manga) Vol. 1 (#305350494827)
- a***i (27)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchase5 stars Great seller—made it right when USPS didn’t. The item was marked as delivered on May 27th to a “reception area,” even though I live in a single-family home. Clearly a USPS error. I reached out to the seller, who responded quickly and assured me the book was on the way. It finally arrived safely on June 7th. Not the seller’s fault, and I appreciate their professionalism and communication throughout. Would buy from them again.
