For superior quality in any kind of photo shoot, the Nikon Nikkor AF-S 300 mm f/4.0 D IF ED Lens has become an essential ingredient in the world of photography. The Nikkor AF-S is a superb camera lens made of ED glass that is now considered a mainstay in Nikon camera equipment. When shooting through this type of lens, the chance of chromatic aberration is dramatically reduced. What this means is that when light rays hit a lens glass, there is a tendency to odd colors and images because of varying wave links filtering through the glass at the same time. Extra-low Dispersion (ED glass) can provide the clear contrast and definition that is needed for a professional quality photo, without the headaches of past solutions for glare and aberration. The Nikkor AF-S also has multi coatings of glass that helps minimize reflection while, at the same time, helping to give a wider range in color balance. These assets, combined with a feature that allows for internal focusing so that the camera lens does not have to change size, make the Nikkor AF-S a lens that is light-weight and easy to carry, while creating a superb array of photos.
