I own several emg pickups and they don't sound like this. Luckily EMG is sending me a replacement. Not the sellers fault. Got it super quick and so far is working great except the mentioned. The guitar arrived in perfect shape even though it was listed as open box it looked brand new not a scratch on it ,never played in the original box with original paperwork. A great price also. Highly recommend this seller and would definitely purchase from again

They are a legit and respectable store would buy from again.
