Contacted the seller and EBay, and the seller was very workable. They offered for me to keep the MacBook along with a partial refund. After some thought I agreed. Saved us both the trouble of exchanging. Turned out the MacBook is a 2019 pro. Not what I originally intended to use but it is in good condition and hopefully can fill my needs. Thankfully it worked.
