    As described, the cover condition was in excellent condition, nice Union usage sent to a civilian appointed as acting 3rd assistant engineer to the US Navy, assigned to a number of steam powered gunboats over the course of the war. His obituary stated he was stationed on one such vessel "... that shelled the forts during the Monitor - Merrimac fight." Great value! Securely packaged, shipped quickly in an envelope with colorful Canadian commemorative stamps. Five star vendor!
