    This Boar brush WON'T be your favorite but it will probably last forever.

    I can't recommend this brush because I don't think it is a brush any serious user would enjoy and I don't think any NEW user should start with this brush. This brush is serviceable but not worth passing over another choice in the den for or maybe choosing a different one to buy. Imagine a very attractive dime store shaving brush, that is what you have here. There are enough bristles to look full and work up a simple lather. Like any boar bristle I imagine they will break in more an more with use (mine softened well with repeated soap lathering/drying cycles and barely started to bloom by including some rubbing on a hand towel while lathered). A major drawback/disappointment is that the small knot (what is it, 19mm?) has some hard protrusion sticking about halfway into the loft so even ...
