The plastic valance retainers were all brittle and broke. The valance panels are wood with a T-slot in the back. I slipped some #10 washers into the T-slot and used these powerful magnets to hold the valance panels onto the steel head rails. These magnets were perfect! Affordable and powerful. The valance panels are solid!
