Thinkpad keyboard, wireless experience; fragile key assembly.

If you're a fan of Thinkpad keyboards (you are) and you like the nub (you might) then this is a very nice option for going 'wireless'. The keyfeel, sound, and overall tactile experience is the same as the great Thinkpad keyboards, including the nub and keyboard layout. It's a pleasure to type on, and if you have a Thinkpad laptop, there's no transition time - just type. Connecting was easy, no issues with connectivity (there's a slight initial lag when it's gone into standby). My one complaint is that it's VERY easy to break the keycaps with very little force if you catch the lip of any key(s) on something immoble/hard. I snapped 3 keys off simply by casually raking the (sharpish) edge of my Thinkpad along the keybed when picking them both up...(snap, snap snap)...the tiny plastic pincers ...

  • Nice key action, wish the TrackPoint was easier to use. Best feature is that it's rechargeable.

The TrackPoint requires a lot of force and puts strain on my finger when I use it. The keys are nice and clicky for such a thin keyboard. Bluetooth connection sometimes drops on Windows but not on Linux or macOS. The best feature other than the keys is that it's rechargeable. No hassle with batteries.

  • Best keyboard...period! Perfect for Linux

Hold the middle button for 4-way scroll...so ill! No better keyboard for Linux! Seamless set up! Responsive travel and rebound for fast typing...I type about a million lines of code per yoctosecond on the bad boy! So ill! So dope! So refreshing...aahhhhh

  • Like meeting an old friend again!

Before retiring, I spent many years behind the keyboard of various ThinkPad laptops with their TrackPoint (eraser head). I have been using a very large keyboard with back lit keys on my desktop but it took up so much room on the pull out tray that I was always twisting it to get it into a comfortable position and still have room for my wireless optical mouse. Now, that is all gone and I have a ton of room left on the pull out tray. It is taking a while to get the strength built back up in my right index finger to operate the TrackPoint for the too many hours I spend on the computer. The key touch (feedback) is excellent and even with my big hands, the layout is excellent. I have all the keys I need and plenty of room left over.

  • Thinkpad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard (USB Charging)

This is a love-it or leave-it kind of keyboard - those who know and have used Thinkpad laptops have been alternatively overjoyed or heartbroken by the transition from the classic to the modern "chicklet" keyboard. If you are a fan of keyboards, or typing comfortably, -and- a fan of the modern Thinkpad keyboard, you will love the Compact Bluetooth Trackpoint keyboard. It's light, battery lasts weeks (up to a month, sometimes) - I charge mine weekly because it's convenient), and it has very comfortable keys. I use the trackpoint exclusively in my work, so my desk is free of a mouse. But, I've used a mouse in conjunction with the keyboard and been quite comfortable, too. This is the best keyboard I've ever used, really, including gaming-style mechanical keyboards. (The key depresses are not ...
