    Good design

    3ft long leader, just right for a 24 inch. The ribbon is terminated with a handle making easy to give a rock-forward-and-backward motion for a fast bi-directional brushing. I soak it in solvent then leave it in the barrel bore and chamber for 6 to 8 minutes previously so baked soot breaks up easily. Get two.

    I received the email notice telling me I had won this product. There was no winning, I paid for this item and paid for its mailing. The boresnake is excellent for instant cleaning, especially if you have an adjustable high comb, that normally must be removed so the bolt can also be removed to use a bore guide and rod for bore cleaning. For cleaning a competition rifle once you have gone through the process of establishing a perfectly vertical scope reticle that is precise for 1,000+ yard shooting, usually this means a very high scope comb on the buttstock in order to adequately sight through a high mounted scope. This requires the high comb on the stock and its height has to remain constant in order to retain the preicion sighting needed for very long accuracy. Once setup this way, the ...

    Slithers right through

    Used for first time on brand new rifle to clean any debris left by manufacturer if any. Simply pointed the barrel downward and the weighted end slipped right down the bore and pulled the snake through and out. Some mild resistance to affirm the snake was doing the job. Hoppes is a longtime established brand and it shows. The plastic container is reusable for storage in your range bag.

    Awesome

    I use this product for my 25/06 Encore ProHunter. I put some Hoppes #9 on the brush portion and pull from the chamber through the barrel. It cleans as well as a brush and jag. I clean the barrel every 5 shots. As for a heavy fouling I am unsure.
