I bought this cable to use with my KENWOOD car radio, it requires a mini hdmi input for iPhone video. So I had to buy a lightning to hdmi cable and then this femal hdmi in to mini hdmi out which plugs into the back of the head unit. I have not tried it yet but if there’s a problem, it’s most likely the stupid KENWOOD design and not all the cables I needed to buy to get the iPhone to work and NOT have to pay $50 for a dumb KENWOOD cable adapter.
