A good product with a good safety feature
The ant-scald thermostatic limiting button is excellent for preventing the water temperature from rising above 38 degrees C - although if you want very hot water then it's easy to depress the red button to hotter settings. The product is manufactured well and fitted well. The product was well protected during postage delivery.

Not so good
On fitting this unit for the first time I found that the connection to the shower head was leaking. On closer inspection I found that the rubber 'O' ring had been incorrectly fitted during assembly at he factory. I was faced with having to return the item or repair it myself. I chose the latter option which turned out to be quite difficult as I do not have the requisite hexagon wrench . This solved the problem but I do feel annoyed that it should be necessary in the first place. It now seems to be operating normally but I have some reservations about the quality of the knobs. They appear to be made from plastic with a silver finish which potentially could deteriorate quite quickly.On fitting this unit for the first time I found that the connection to the shower head was leaking. Excellent quality, great instructions, quick delivery.
Having shopped around trying to get a replacement thermostat for inside our shower control, we discovered that the part costs way more than an ENTIRE new shower set including mounting bar, head and hose. I am delighted with this shower bar, which was cheaper than all other options and did not involve me throwing away or finding space for unwanted extras. It would have got 5 stars but it's a bit gaudy compared with the more elegant one it replaced. That's me being really fussy though TBH. It's great! Took 10 minutes to fit and the shower was back good as new. It had been losing pressure for a year and I didn't know why. These thermostats wear out, it seems. If can't have a wall mounted water heater this is great as gives you shower and bath taps all in one an fitting one for my daughter no messing around trying to keep water at the right temperature it stays as the setting on dails
