    I used the slicer attachment for potatoes and also the shredder attachment for cheese. While both attachments did their jobs. they projected some of the food beyond the large bowl I had placed underneath to collect the sliced or shredded pieces, leaving a big mess. Secondly, both attachments also ended up collecting large amounts of the shredded or sliced food in the interior of the cylinder, ending up packed tightly, which then had to be dug out, which was difficult. Very disappointed.

    Love it!

    On our first use we chopped cucumber, celery, onion, and tried to cut a bell pepper. The cucumber, celery and onion all came out very fine(thin) but the bell pepper was a no go. we also used the grated for carrots. It worked awesome! We have not used it to shred cheese, but I am pretty sure it will work well. As far as usability it is great! Easy to figure out and assemble onto your Kitchenaid mixer. The attachments hook up to the Kitchenaid very well, they were not loose at all. Don't be put off by the plastic that surrounds the cups, it seems to hold up just fine.

    Not worth the time or waisting your money very week.

    It is so cheep it doesn't the cut cheese. The plastic parts are not strong enough to do the job. The blades are not sharp enough to shred or slice. My wife said she wants the real one this off brand might fit but no power.

    I thought it was completely stainless steel but there is a little bit of plastic I just didn't notice. Seems to be well made. I haven't had a chance to try it out but it does fit my Kitchen Aid mixer so that's a plus by itself.
