Don't expect extracting a gallon from a bushel of apples though, it certainly functions for its price point. I do have to point out, the paint on the sprocket and strike plate will wear and chip on the first use so either remove the paint with a wire brush or watch you don't get paint down in your cider! It comes with a mesh bad which is nice too. If you don't bolt it down to something, it's very frustrating to use. Feet come pre drilled for mounting

I found that it does not seem to be big and strong enough to press apple wedges unless you pound or mash them first. This limits its value somewhat for me. They do recommend processing apples first. Also you will likely want to make some extra wooden wedges, but no big deal to do,
