Pushing the lever to the side (if still mounted) on the light allows you to push the light into the door as the spring clips holding it pop off. Be ready to fish out middle clips with a magnetic probe when you do the swap. Didn't care about the mark. did care about not lighting up. Did get refund. Price was very attractive. I have had not as described too. Inspect stuff before shipping
