Compared to a 15" bar, it looks like they are measured including length of the drive bit. The actual length of handle to drive bit joint is only 16.5" for this 18" model, with total length including length of drive bit 17.75". A 15" Thorsen 13.5" to the joint with total length only 14.5". Ordered it Apr 24 received it May 7 due to ups delays. Walmart has 15" bar for les
