    Great piece of equipment!!

    If you are like me and have trouble keeping your extremities warm in the colder months, then I highly recomment this heater fan! Vornado thought of everything with it! The ability to set the temperature of the heating element, a high and low power mode (high is great for a quick need of heat, low is great for nighttime), a timer up to 12 hours (in 1 hour increments) and a simple fan mode. I was kind of skeptical at first because you are not supposed to point it directly at your body, but rather leave it towards one side of the room. However, it efficiently and evenly heats up the entire room! It is an amazing piece of equipment and I highly recommend it!

    OK for very small area rooms

    Just purchased this TVH500 to replace an old room heater that was 7 years old. Thought this one could heat a room 10 x 15 feet, but the best it can do is heat air around a person sitting in a chair. Ok for heat directly on a person, but not good for whole room heating. ( Also thought this was made in America, but its not). Also fan was making a noise, was able to tighten the name plate on the front of unit and the noise went away.

    Vornado Heater TVH500 Good Value

    I bought this to supplement the heat in my living room. It is working perfectly for that purpose. I like having a shut off timer and a remote to change the settings when needed. I would definitely recommend the Vornado Whole Room Vortex Space Heater with Remote Control Timer TVH500. It brings the room up to a comfortable temperature and allows me save on heating by keeping the rest of my home cooler. Paul

    Well made, quiet and extremely efficient

    Reviewed all small room heaters(All manufacturers). The "Vortex" technology of this Vornado led me to purchase the unit to augment the heating of my 14x16 living area. Surprised I was able to turn main heat off(Even at 37 degrees outside). Unit is very energy efficient and heated area is balanced. Definitely will purchase more for other areas.

    I did my homework before buying this for my daughters room. It has all the safety features and ranks in the top for space heaters. The company is based in the U.S. and if you need service they are really prompt. The only bad thing I can say is that is made in China.
