The metal 'nibs' set in the soles may help with wear and do provide anti-slip traction. They are warm even with no under sock, stay on your feet better than many other types of slippers and look pretty good, too.

However, Origin of shipping is not USA as stated in the auction. The color shown is also off. The socks received were navy blue, not royal blue. The non slip bottom of the socks are very uncomfortable on hardwood floors. Feels like you're walking on pebbles. Also bought a pair for a friend who has carpeted floors, non slip bottom is not as prevalent. I would not purchase them again.
