    easy to read, install, operate- lights up bright

    my first time putting in a new thermostat and it was a very easy install with simple tools everyone has in their house, I replaced an older style one that you had to turn lights on in the room and basically use a magnifying glass to see the words to operate it, this new LUX is so much better, big numbers and letters lights up completely all with a simple touch anywhere on the screen, very easy to move around the screens, I figured out how to use it without ever opening the manual, if youre looking for an easy to read, install, and operate thermostat at a great price with very good top rated reviews buy the LUX TX9600TS Ive been using it for some time now and Im glad I bought it

    Works well but not a direct replacement.

    It's been working well so far, It's a little different than the OEM unit, it's carrying the same part number, is not identical but does everything the original did. This is not a direct replacement, I had to change the wall mounting bracket (which came with it) in order to use it. The nice thing was it only costs about 12% of what an OEM replacement costs.

    I'd buy this again and again

    This is the second one of these thermostats that we have owned. I like how the numbers are large and easy to read. I also like how you have four programs for each day of the week. A 5+2 programmable thermostat assumes you are working five days a week, which is fine if you are, but our work schedules are variable now. It's easy to install. We had our last one installed for three years and never had a problem with it. Get the second gen Lux TX9600TS.

    Big Improvement Over Old Model

    This Lux thermostat was purchased to replace an older model by the same manufacturer. The temperature up/down buttons weren't working anymore, and the readout had gotten difficult for my aging eyes to see. This new one has rectified all those things and more: It's easy to install, easy to program (just watch YouTube videos if you have problems) and operates our HVAC system without a problem. Last but not least, there are no buttons to wear out. The good reviews for this thermostat here and on other websites are justified. I am very satisfied with this product. I bought it used, which made it a great bargain.

    Nice upgrade over my old unit.

    I have a heat pump with auxiliary electric heat. This replaced my old Honeywell mercury thermostat exactly. It can be used with different types of heat/ cooling systems and one of the enclosed wiring diagrams matched my system exactly. The diagrams are easy to follow with terminal and wire color designations. Be sure to diagram or take a picture of your old hook up and cut the power to ALL of your HVAC components before you disconnect the old thermostat.
