    Piece of junk!

    If you have a 99 Ford Ranger this item is NOT what you want to install a double DIN radio! It is a piece of crap and will not fit even after trimming the top and bottom of the radio opening. To get it to fit, I also had to trim the sides of the opening but after doing so, the TINY clips on the brackets that come in this kit cannot latch on. I have plenty of experience not just installing radio kits but also fabricating things from scratch, so I know what I'm doing. I ordered another kit from a different manufacturer. I think Metra stuff is just garbage because the previous Metra kit I installed was also a flimsy POS but at least it (mostly) fit.
