    Well built and does exactly what it is supposed to do

    The cable sends the video and audio signals to my external display, a Sony 8" portable DVD player (FX820). I lost my cable which came with this DVD player, so I'm glad I was able to get another one, especially because it looks and feels like the original one. The signals are good, though I mainly use only the video for electronically-assisted astronomy. The cable has the RCA jacks (left, right, and video) on one end, and on the other end a 1/4-inch phone audio jack and a 1/4-inch phone video jack. I connect the RCA jacks into the outputs of an HDMI to RCA/S-video converter, then connect the 1/4-inch video jack into my DVD's video input port. The HDMI video signal from my Canon T3 looks good on the DVD's display. The cable is also well-made, so build quality is not an issue.

    Cable works with Sony DVP-FX820

    The cable for the Sony DVP-FX 820 are y-type. The cable for the DVP-FX810 consists of one y-type and a straight cable. The straight cable is "video." The y-cable are audio. The cables worked perfectly with my Sony DVP-FX820.

    A/V cable for portable DVD player

    The cable I ordered was not 100% effective as the video cable did not work with my player. I attribute this to the fact the cable not exactly for my player. I used another video cable and that worked. The audio portion worked perfectly.
