    Have two good punches and some good penetrating oil

    Rocksolid platform easy install easy disassemble/reassembly have some patients take your time use common sense and use Loctite heavily on every threaded connection and tap out the two pins that run through the bottom of the original site that go through the top of the barrel no big deal. And it keeps the originality of the gun strictly intact highly recommended!

    Not good fit

    The airgun/22LR dovetail is parallel while the dovetail it will attach to on the rear iron sight of the Mosin Nagant is significantly tapered front to back. Making it fit correctly is very difficult. just clamping it forces the scope mount to point significantly to the left of the barrel. I was lucky enough to have a mill and dovetail cutter to correct this.

    For the Price.....it's not a bad deal

    Good news, this is very inexpensive ! I found when mounted to the sight block, it will not allow a scope mount to fully grab on the picatinny & even with an offset scope mount, the lens is still pretty far away.

    Mosin Nagant 91/30

    This is actually a very simple solution to a relatively complex problem of mounting todays optics on a 13mm weaver rail (under the rear iron sight). It's a straight forward adapter that locks into place and can be secured by tightening allen head screws. This mount allows for a standard Picatinny scope mount. On my 38 Tula 91/30, it dropped right in and I had the scope mounted in a matter of minutes. it will remain tight under repeated firing of surplus steel cased ammo but loctite can be used for added peace of mind. Depending on the relief of the scope, it can be mounted in either direction.
