I was previosly aware that an alternate part number substitute had been implemented. Of course, my suprise upon receipt of the item was confirmed by cellophane envelope packaging identifying the item as a diesel fuel cap,type 14. Pleasant surprise. However, it works & vents properly. No more gas fumes in the garage! The gasket design appears to be improved over the original. Thank you!
