      Heavy!

      There is a lot to like here, but.... This is a great, stout knife with a lot of the features I like, a wide blade suitable for cutting or spreading things like butter, cream cheese or jam. It comes sharp from the factory. The blade is stout and thick, the handle heavily re-enforced for durability. The blade shape is great. But...it is heavy. It is really too heavy for everyday carry. Even in jeans with a work belt it is a massive lump in the pocket. I was unable to weight the monster, but without suspenders it is rough to keep your pants from sagging with this in the pocket. For backpacking, just forget it. A small sheath knife can be found that is lighter. The blade could be thinner and the handle material lighter.
