The shafts are actually 16", not 18" (I'm fine with the shorter height, but I know some cowboy reenactors that probably wouldn't be). The shafts are big enough for thicker-limbed guys to still tuck their trousers in and the foot runs true to size. Very happy with the boots and the seller's communication. Thank you.
