      Memories Of My Parents Generation...

      As a child my parents and their generation loved this candy and gum. I'm attending a "Shades Of Purple" party, where everyone was asked to bring a small purple favor gift. The childhood memory of my parent's generation came to mind. I NEVER ate or chewed the candy, but something about the smelI, which I loved, came to mind as my favor gift. They were hard to find in stores. I searched and my searched took me to eBay!

      I just want to say these are the best months I've had in 24 years that was the last time I was in New York. I was not able to find them until I got a smartphone and I finally went on to eBay and just did a simple question and remember the spelling. So I went ahead and look through the variety of different companies that still carry this wonderful candy from when I was a child it brings back nostalgia. The the first time I had one of these men's was a month ago when my brother came to visit need for the Christmas holiday and he brought me a package of them from South Carolina and he spent a lot of money on one package I was able to get 24 packs in one box for $22 which is a wonderful price compared to buying them singly and where I live in Florida you cannot purchase these anymore.       A treat that keeps giving!

      I recently rediscovered how much I love volet mints . This was my favourite mint candy growing up and it has quickly resumed its place. In addition, wherever I put them; be it in my purse, my knitting bag or my pocket it leaves a burst of violet fragrance that is enchanting. Who needs fragrance when you can just carry and enjoy these incredible mints. It tastes great, and your breath and purse will snell great!

      Old Time Enjoyment

      I am surprised that Violet mints are still around, I have loved them for 60 years! My aunt confided in me when I was in my teens that she carried Violet mints because it was the only candy she could carry that wasn’t devoured by her nieces and nephews daily. I was her only nephew that liked them! I invented a new cooling drink, I add one violet mint to one gallon of lemonade, it gives lemonade an incredible top note!
