    Great product at a great price, always good to use oem parts when you can. Allison has made the filters very easy to access and change. I personally change this filter every other oil change.

    It was shipped in a reasonable time, in a cardboard box but when I opened it the factory box inside was just trashed, it had come open on the glue seam and was frayed on all the edges. It looks like it's been around for a while, being moved ungently until the OEM box just looked 'wadded up and worn' from lots of handling. The filter looks fine otherwise. NOTE the magnet that's supposed to come with this filter DIDN'T but I bet some time in the past as the box was knocked around the magnet fell out and was misplaced so not included when shipped to me. I actually bought THIS factory filter instead of an aftermarket one TO GET THE MAGNET!!! So I'm pissed that I didn't. The filter is still usable but I'll have to find a magnet somewhere to complete the correct assembly.

    not the same filter that I removed from truck. The # are the same not the filters.

    I have 2001 chevy 2500 with 8.1 engine. This filter has a very thick gasket and leaks real BAD. I looked at the old filter ac delco #29539579 and it's much thiner. I have ordered a ac delco filter to see what is so different in these filters.
