    Works perfectly so far.

    I had over 5 hours use from first charge. This lasts just as long as I ever had from the original Mac battery. At this price I would be surprised if is a genuine Apple branded battery but don't let that put you off. You wouldn't notice from looking at it. The external appearance and connector seems good quality. Hopefully, I will be just as satisfied after using over a longer time. Installation was simple. Some people may find removing the old battery difficult but mine came out easily. There are plenty of videos on Youtube that can show how to do this. Just take your time. Overall this is excellent value and provides a sensible alternative to the high replacement price charged by the official stores.

    Never again

    The battery works, was easy to install, however the battery life is terrible. It maybe lasts 3.5 hours under "normal" use when the original would last 7-8 hours. Not worth it, don't buy it. Find an OEM one.

    Great Battery with a few Quirks

    At first the battery would go from around 40% to 7% and it would be on 7% for awhile before it died. After a few day going from daed to fully charged, I'm guessing it calibrated the battery because now it properly displays the % all the way down to 7% and it works well. The only odd thing is it doesn't go below 7% it will sit there until the indicator goes red and dies shortly after. I don't know why it won't go all the way down to 1% and it also doesn't go to sleep when the power is low, it dies and has to restart when I plug it in. Little annoying, but it's sill WAY better than my old battery!!!

    Fear not! Repalce your Macbook Pro Battery!!!!

    I had read all the warnings online with regard to Apple making in impossible to replace a Macbook Pro Retina battery. Thanx to some hackers on YouTube, it actually is not that daunting of a task. You MUST have a certain comfort level tearing down a laptop, but the process was very straightforward. This battery has proven to be excellent, great battery life. Just as good as the original.

    Installation

    Worked for my 2014.5 MacBook Pro 15" Retina A1398. Used fishing line to cut the old adhesive along with using the pry tool. Removed the adhesive off the new battery before installing to make a battery swap much easier next time. Had to cut a piece of foam to fit between the battery and the case to prevent the battery from having any wiggle room. All worked great. Battery holds charge for 5+ hours now.
