      Garden Protection From Deer With This Charger

      I purchased this 12 volt 3 joule fence charger to protect one of our raised bed gardens from a herd of 13 to 15 deer that pass thru our yard every night. The fence it charges is around a 48 X 24 foot garden and is five strands of wire fence on seven foot T posts. We had severe damage to crops in that garden before installing the fence and prior to electrifying it. Using two trail cameras has confirmed that no deer come within twenty yards of the garden now that the fence is charged. The garden is sixty yards from our house so the 12 volt DC powered unit was the best choice for the application, and it is working fine. I will add a separate solar charger to maintain the battery soon. The instructions state that the unit requires a 88 amphour 12 volt DC battery to work properly and I have ...

      Goat Zapper

      This product works! I have used a variety of fence chargers over the years with various levels of success. Goats have a simple philosophy; Your jot is to make a fence, our job is to get through the fence. This charger keeps them inside. As a bonus, the meter lets me know if there are any problems developing with the fence. It is a great product at a great price.

      Not same as pictured

      Would have give 5 stars, buy the one I received is not the one pictured. It has been "upgraded". New one does not have a on/off switch. Still a good quality fence charger.
