It is interactive and requires interplay between the reader and child who can identify Patty's pets by supplying the missing words which rhymes with the preceding line. Vocabulary development, spelling, auditory discrimination and attention to visual cues are stressed. This book is one in a series titled Talk-Along, and each book teaches a different concept, such as counting, adding, colors, shapes, transportation, pets, active words, and anatomy. This book makes learning fun! The illustrations are colorful, clever and very expressive.
