    grip shifter works for Shimano Altus

    I installed the shifter for the rear derailer on my older trek 800 that has 7 gears and a shimano altus derailer and it works great. For reference, the shifter moves the cable a total of ~3/4" from 1st to 7th gear. I did not install the shifter for the front because the original is still working good.
