      Best gear selection I could find for a 1x10 road conversion.

      SRAM makes the only real options for a 1x road bike. I'm using this for a homebuilt 1x conversion on a road bike that was originally equipped with 10-speed Ultegra. I primarily ride this bike on 40-80 mile group rides averaging 16-18mph with moderate climbing. I changed out the double chainring for a SRAM X-Sync 50t and I'm using this 12-32 cassette in the rear with the original Ultegra road derailleur. Shimano's options for wide-range 10-speed cassettes all have big jumps between the smaller cogs, which is awful for the type of riding I do. For instance they go 12-14-16-18 etc, then narrower jumps between the larger (lower) gears. This makes it very hard to use the "fast" end of the range, because the jump between 12 and 14 is huge, and you definitely notice that 13 is missing. It's ...

      Great gear ratios

      This cassette has given me a reason to stay with my 10 speed set up and not drop the cash to jump to 11 speed. 12-32 has the same cog size progressions as an 11-28 for fast and accurate shifting and no big jumps for fine tuning your cadence during the ride. The big jumps only take place when you get into the larger cogs for climbing where you’re already going slow enough to where you won’t feel those gearing jumps.
