      An apple a day ....

      Have you ever purchased a bad apple product? Neither have I, which is why I look for quality used apple items on ebay - sometimes they are real bargains, sometimes they are just frugal catches, but either way the apple product always performs. I was looking to set up a mesh network with an ASUS router as my gateway - these work marvelously and back up my iMac as well. No reason for me to complain about that!

      Apple - very cool but doesn't work.

      I still cannot get it to work with my two Macs. I've researched and tried all of the tricks, but it just doesn't integrate. Now I don't think it is the device, I think it is an incompatibility. It's buggy, and with that and a few other things, I believe that's why apple dropped it. I will keep trying. Right now it just sits there with a green "good to go" light, but I still haven't been able to access it.

      Awesome Sauce!

      A huge step up when my old Apple Airport 1st Generation model failed. This model has ventilation holes for the internal fan, so it should not fail prematurely, and I won't need to modify it as I did the previous one. Also, the range is dramatically increased! I was expecting to buy a wifi range extender, as I previously used a second Airport for that purpose, but just the single 5th Generation Airport covers the whole house!

      This is the second time capsule I have owned. I bought this one for a new computer to have a separate time capsule for each machine. Had a little trouble setting up because didn't used to bridge mode settings but after I straightened it out everything work smoothly. Good product in good shape at a good price.
