    Sturdier and louder than the cheapos

    I bought some of the cheaper models on ebay, and I think they kinda of work. I blew smoke at them, and they started to chirp. I decided that this would be a really stupid place to save money, so for a bit more I bought a pair of these. They are sturdier, less chinsy, and easy to manipulate. I blew smoke at them, and was met with a deafening noise that could awake the dead. Thats why you have them. I bought two more, and I now have these installed in all of my rooms. I will probably get another. I think the next step up, the price quadruples, but these seem to work, and they aren't schlockly like other 'cheapos'.

    Not the same as advertised

    It is not a carbon and smoke they are both just smoke detectors that I recurved and not hard wired either they are battery only . Im not happy the product was miss represented I had to choose at least 1 star but really choose zero

    Better Than Optical

    Bought an optical smoke alarm that was basically useless. Ionization smoke alarms are much better and faster at detecting early smoldering fires than optical ones. I would recommend the BRK FG250B even though they cost a few bucks more.

    Very good item! Works out of the box!!

    It small, compact, and even includes a battery (9 V)!! The battery needs to be activated. I should read the instruction in order to open the case and pull the protective film (insulation which guarantees the freshness of the battery). Then, it's ready to be hang on the wall. I like the product and the Seller (shipping was fast)!!
