    Perfect all around EDC

    I have carried the "Farmer" model since it came out years ago. it has just the right blades and is small enough not to bother you in your pocket. the saw works on anything, main blade sharpens easy, leather all can be used on most anything you need to drill hole into. small and large screwdriver blades are great. can opener and bottle opener can be used for other things as a tool. I have three, (2 as backup). great gift for less than 40.00. just right size pocket knife for every day use.

    Ok for me luckcally

    The Victorinox alox farmer is a great product, this one I paid almost new price, the tip of the blade was bent ( I was able to correct ) the split ring eyelet was bent and the split ring wouldn't move ( needed straightened , I corrected that too) . So if I wasn't a mechanical person this item would have been returned.

    Swiss Army Knife, Farmer Silver Alox

    The Alox Farmer, made by Victorinox, has been around since 1957. Its partner, the Pioneer (without the saw blade) was adopted as the Soldier 1961 Model, and was subsequently issued to the Swiss Army. The Alox Farmer that I received new is the perfect package for a camping scout knife. There are no extraneous tools, just the time proven basics. In terms of the tools, the only difference between the Farmer and the current Soldier 08, is the Philipps Head Screwdriver. And finally, the quality of the Alox Farmer is second to none. I honestly do not understand how Victorinox makes any profit from the manufacture and sale of these. Made to last a lifetime, and backed by a lifetime guaranty. Every man, woman, and youngster should be issued a Victorinox Farmer or Pioneer pocket knife.

    Victorinox Pioneer is a great every day cary knife for urban or hiking.

    The Swiss Army Pioneer Farmer has a main blade, reamer, can opener and bottle opener and saw. The blades (tools) are very sturdy and hold up really well. The tools have really good snap when they open and close. Blade holds an edge well and is easy to keep sharpened. The saw is no joke. It really works. Very rust resistant.

    Swiss Army Farmer

    I received a Swiss Army knive year's ago as a gift from my parents visit to Switzerland, and was very happy with the knife. Unfortunately I lost it and planned on replacing it with a similar knife. I was in the Army and was astonished by how well the can opener worked at opening our C Ration. The overall quality of the knife was equally excellent. The Swiss Army Farmer has enough features to cover a wide range of tasks without being overly bulky. I'm sure I will put it to good use in the future.
