No reason to pay top dollar for high end power conditioners, as long as they don't buzz or malfunction. Spend that extra money in your gear

    • Top critical review

Overpriced, cheaply made, limited to 600W total.

This device is not a viable replacement for other switched power centers like American DJ PC100A or Chauvet. The chassis is formed from thin metal and bends and dents easily. It has no circuit breaker, but a fuse that I was unable to ascertain its current rating. On opening the device I was shocked to see how thin the wiring is, which does bear markings saying it is 20awg. That gauge of wiring should not be used to carry more than 5 Amps. Since all the wiring is of that gauge that limits the total current. The booklet states no more than 200W per outlet, so I'm guessing the switches can't handle much more than 2 Amps. About all I'll trust it to are wall-warts for low power equipment.

    • Cheap crap

This is utter crap. I have other Pyle switches and thought this would be like those. This model is pure switches there is NO apparent SURGE PROTECTION, and NO CIRCUIT BREAKER. Nothing good will come of plugging anything expensive into this. It is not even a quarter the weight of the PDBC70. The mounting ears are not flat and don't mount well. You have to take the feet off to mount in a rack which is the least of it's problems. If you intend to use this make sure it is plugged into something that can handle the potential power surges like a UPS. I don't think I would trust anything heavier than LED Christmas lights to this without a separate surge protector. Sure wish I had taken a closer look at the provided pictures. My mistake. For the cost it should have surge protection.

    • Definitely a “pile”! Spend just a little bit more money on some thing else a whole lot better!

Bad unit! Cheap tin like rackmount ears that bend very easily and don’t fit right. No built-in surge protector/breaker! That’s a must. Thin power cord going to unit. I don’t trust it I don’t like it I should’ve spent five dollars more and got something better you should too! Spend the extra $5 $10 or $15 and get something decent

    • Too big to fit

The unit works fine but it is larger than one single rack space. I only had one space left in my rack and it won't fit. Disappointed.
