The optical lens assembly has plastic threads that are easily stripped during shipping. Shipped in flimsy box wrapped with plastic allows inadequate protection for shipping. I would request the order be placed in a shipping box. I was able to repair this set. Keep in mind you can't expect the Hubble Telescope for $40 but you should receive a usable item. Good luck.
