I thought maybe I over tightened the washer drim bolt. So I loosened it up and it still makes that sound. Time will tell if this will last. Fixed 2 washers within 2 months so I couldn’t say just yet if this bearings are well worth it. It does say its made Japan and in new condition. It is very unlikely that the crunching noise you are hearing is coming from the bearings, given the manufacturer's very strict quality control, and the 0% defect rate we have seen on nearly 5000 bearings sold. However, it does happen that the rotor-stator emits a fairly loud popping noise, due to static, for some time after reassembly. Could this be what you are hearing? That said, do not hesitate to contact us so that we can help you and, and, if there is a defect, fully apply the warranty.
