    Intel heatsink/fan combos are my goto CPU cooling solution

    I'm not into all the fancy heat pipe solutions out there when it comes to CPU cooling (and water cooling ... yuck). I prefer to use the good old tried and true Intel fan/heatsink combos that I've been using for the past 25+ years. They just work and I've yet to have an Intel fan mounted on an Intel heatsink fail due to bearing wear. They are a bit of a bear to clean the accumulated dust out of but if you keep up with a regular cleaning schedule you'll be ok. I paired this heatsink/fan combo to an i7 6700K and I'm sure it will adequately cool the CPU when needed.

    Quiet and effective Cooler

    I originally had the Stock Intel Cooler (with Copper Base) and an Intel Core i7-3770 (NOT "K") CPU. During Heavy Multi-task (Spybot Scan and Norton Anti-Virus Scan at same time) HW Monitor showed the core(s) with highest operating Temperature in the low 80's (C) at 1300 Fan RPM. This New Cooler reduced that to mid 60's (C) at 1000 Fan RPM. I'm sure that my Intel Motherboard (DQ77MK) BIOS was "allowing" the 80's (C) with the stock Cooler because it was capable of higher RPM's (1500, I believe). The New Cooler was barely off of "Idle" RPM. This shows its effectiveness. Would recommend.

    Keeps my CPU cool.

    The Intel TS15A Heatsink works well, and it lower the temp. on my I7 3770 by 10 to 15 degrees over the standard Heatsink. It works best on CPUs that are 5th or 7th generation.
