We have had the ramp for only two days now, and the dog has not been willing to use it yet. It is sturdy enough for a large dog (not for people). It is a little narrow and there are no guard rails so an older dog may still need some supervision when using it, at least in the beginning. It seems a little slippery when wet but has plenty of grip when dry. I am happy overall with the purchase.
