Some online sources mentioned a strong woolly scent with their wool mat.....obviously not this one. It arrived early, had no noticeable scent when used, didn't leave fuzz on my fabric and stayed in place as I ironed. I had a stash of fabric to iron and it worked like a charm so I'm glad I bought the larger size, too!
