It did not damage the carrier in any way and pushed out the old and pushed in the new. I had to use an impact on it, the threads did take a beating, but it still works and I suspect will continue to work. Be 100% sure to coat the threads before using, preferably with thick assembly lube (molybdenum disulfide). It took a beating, but it worked!

Packaging was poor and missing parts. I contacted the seller, they shipped missing parts... BUT, they marked FedEx package as new tool shipment and ANOTHER $70 in tariffs... I paid the first, but disputing the second invoice (for missing parts). The tool is of MARGINAL quality, worked... but not precision made. Bad deal!
