I really like the idea of switching off a port, like one having a thumb drive without having to remove it from the hub. I still hit the eject button for data safety before switching it off. So when I am ready to use the data on that drive all I need do is switch it back on.

I had to buy another usb b micro ss to usb a cable because this one was too short for my needs, and use a electric extension cord for the same reason, but very happy with the 5gbps throughput. I did have one light closest to the cord that bleeds through a little blue light, but not a big deal for me. Would recommend!
