A Bath Full of Fun!
Woo-Hoo ... 5 Stars!! This toy is GREAT! And, it makes bath-time a lot of fun. It's constructed from a good quality or heavy-duty plastic vs.a flimsy & brittle plastic; it won't break easily. The suction cups that secure the toys to the bath-tub are durable, and they actually work as intended. The submarine water pump is battery-operated but no batteries are included inside the package. The submarine water pump is battery operated & completely immersible ... in fact,the 'body' of the submarine water pump does need to be completely submerged in water in order to use it. This means, the submarine water pump, minus the hose & shower-type spray-head [which is red & looks like a diver] must be completely under water so the pump can draw [suck] water from the bath-tub & spray it out of ... Woo-Hoo ... 5 Stars!! This toy is GREAT! And, it makes bath-time a lot of fun. It's constructed from a good quality or heavy-duty plastic vs.a flimsy & brittle plastic; it won't break easily. The suction cups that secure the toys to the bath-tub are durable, and they actually work as intended. The submarine water pump is battery-operated but no batteries are included inside the package. The submarine water pump is battery operated & completely immersible ... in fact,the 'body' of the submarine water pump does need to be completely submerged in water in order to use it. This means, the submarine water pump, minus the hose & shower-type spray-head [which is red & looks like a diver] must be completely under water so the pump can draw [suck] water from the bath-tub & spray it out of the shower-type spray-head. The spray-head is activated manually by the user ... the diver [spray-head] has 2 orange & oval 'buttons' on either side of 'his' body, when the user holds the diver spray-head tight in their fist, the buttons become depressed and the shower-type spray-head releases water ... the shower stream is pretty darn powerful for being a toy! I even used the sprayer to shampoo my son's hair! Although there is a suction cup on the bottom of the submarine water pump, you don't need to secure the pump to the bottom of your bath-tub in order for it to operate as intended; I have secured the pump to the bath-tub but, mostly, I use it without securing it to the tub because the submarine is heavy enough to stay submerged the water, all by itself. As for the googly-eyed wall toy that has a clock next to it, my son loves it! It needs to be secured to the bath-tub wall via the suction cups, which are attached to the backside of the wall toy. It does not slide around or fall off ... the suction cups are a good quality. Included with the wall toy are 2 funnel-type cups, a red & a yellow one; the cups can be used however you imagine as they are not attached but, when the cups are placed atop the head of the googly-eyed face's head & / or the clock, it does make it easier to spray water into the wall toy. When water is sprayed [or poured] into the googly-eyed face's head, the water travels downward & is released in a straight stream out of the face's mouth, and it travels to the red & white striped 'cross-bar', where there are a series of linear holes ... the water dances out of the holes to create a mini rain curtain. When water is sprayed [or poured] into the top of the clock, it travels down to a hole in the bottom of the clock, where the stream of water causes the yellow spinner-wheel [beneath the clock] to spin water out of the toy in a circular motion ... a typical water-wheel type of action. Just a side-note, as soap products can 'gum-up' anything, I cycle clean & clear water through the pump after each bath. My first son had an earlier version of this toy, and the instructions suggested running clean water through the pump to protect the working mechanisms of the pump ... that particular toy lasted 4 years before the pump finally quit working! I truly doubt anyone's disappointment with this toy! The toy is not a battery-muncher, either ... batteries last a long time in this toy.

This is the best bath toy I have ever purchased . The sprayer works great, and is very entertaining. I bought it for my two year old , but our five and seven year old love it too! Great fun, colorful, durable.
