        Fine Machine

        These are well made with very few issues, the only one that is truly annoying to me is the knobs on the Platen are of a plastic that tends to crack and fall off ! You can buy new knobs online (kind of pricy !) or fabricate your own if your skilled and/or patient . That Said the ones made in other country's, may be not as good,, but I would, if I wanted another one, not shy away from any Hermes Typewriter made in Switzerland. As for typing on it ? It seems to be very good. I should add I am not a collector just wanted to have a very good manual typewriter !
