        When given the opportunity to say if the phone worked or not, the seller said it did. The phone that I received has a bad cord and a broken dial mechanism. Upon learning of my problems with the phone, the seller said the phone was sold with no returns and I should go to E-Bay if I am not happy. A terribly unethical way to conduct business on E-Bay.

        The phone worked when taken out of service. Please remember, this phone is circa 1940, so an 85-year-old phone is likely to have some wear. Ebay offered a solution. Did you try that?
