I was offered a $50 refund, which would not even cover the cost of a new piston, or selecting a different color option. I opted to go with a different color. The chair arrived very poorly packaged, without protective packing, with multiple holes in the packaging and the base coming out the bottom of the package. It arrived in good condition and I am enjoying the comfort of this item right now as I type this review. SteelCase furniture is really made from Steel and it DOES NOT BREAK.
